SB Doula, a birth doula service in Arizona, sought to establish an inviting online presence that reflected its nurturing values and provided expecting mothers with easy access to services. My role was to design a user-friendly website and cohesive brand identity that resonated with Shannon’s target audience, combining warmth, trust, and professionalism.

Shannon needed a seamless online platform to connect with clients and showcase her services, aiming to:

• Establish a professional online presence that reflects her supportive approach.
• Create a visually soothing experience for expecting mothers.
• Streamline service inquiries and booking processes.

Our Design Solution

Working with the Japanese Honda team introduced unique challenges that required adaptability, clear To meet these goals, I followed a user-centered design process that included:

Functional Design: Integrated a prominent “Book a Consultation” feature, simplifying client interaction.

Brand Identity: Developed a soft pastel color palette and hand-drawn floral illustrations symbolizing growth and new beginnings.

Website Design: Created an intuitive layout with clear navigation, allowing clients to easily find service details and book consultations.

Custom Illustrations: Incorporated personalized visual elements to enhance the website’s warmth and organic feel.

A Client-Ready Site!

Our first step was to conduct extensive user research by interviewing over 12 stakeholders and EV drivers, The SB Doula website enhanced Shannon’s online presence and business reach, leading to:

• A strong brand foundation that Shannon can build upon as her business grows.
• 20 client inquiries within the first year of launch.
• Positive client feedback highlighting the site’s calming aesthetics and ease of use.

This project demonstrated the importance of thoughtful design in building trust and enhancing business growth. By balancing gentle aesthetics with functional design, I created a seamless digital experience that reflects SB Doula’s nurturing approach.
